Guidelines
Applicants must sign and acknowledge they understand all guidelines.
1. All applicants must have children in their custody (documents must be provided).
2. Applicants must apply in person. Arrangements will be made for clients that are elderly or handicap.
3. Applicants applying for assistance must be sober, cordial, and respectful towards staff members.
4. Applicants must be true and correct, if any false information is furnished, you will no longer be eligible for services with our program.
5. Receipts must be provided to the ICWA office for any assistance given.
YOU DO NOT QUALIFY FOR ASSISTANCE IF:
1. Have a full-time job and do not have an active ICWA case.
2. Are a member of another tribe.
3. Falsify information.
4. Do not have children under the age of 18 years old.
5. Do not provide a completed application
6. Have no provided receipts for previous assistance(s).
Food Vouchers/Household Items:
1. The applicant is the only person authorized to purchase food/household items and sign the receipt. The receipt must be brought back to the ICWA office after purchase.
Utility Assistance:
1. Applicants must have current ORIGINAL utility bill with you. The bill must show what you owe for the month.
2. Applicants will only be assisted with one month’s bill no total late or disconnection amount.
***We will no long assist with rent deposits, payments or evictions.
ICWA placed children will be priority for these serves and shall be limited to emergencies only. Assistance to non-ICWA placements shall be for needy families in order for children to remain in their home. Due to the numerous request, there shall be only one service per family per year.
Applications for food vouchers or household items takes 1-3 days to process. Applications for other assurances takes 2-5 days to process. Please be patient while we process your application.
